Aurore Martin (born in 1978) is a Basque politician for the Abertzale Basque separatist party Batasuna.

In December 2010 she publicly declared she was goingo to hid herself since she believed the French police was looking for her. After spending six months hidden she publicly declared that she was going to come back to political life, even though she though the French police would try to arrest her[1].

Aurore Martin is member of Batasuna, a party which is illegal in Spain, but legal in France. The Spanish State asked the French state to extradite her, and the Court of Pau (France) agreed to do so[2].

In 21 June 2011, the French police tried to arrest her in Baiona. When they were to take her out of her sister's house, people gathered there, surrounded the police members and managed to take her with them. They brought to St. André square and spent some hours surrounded by 200 people who were protecting her. The police surrounded the square but later left[3].

If the French Government extradites Martin, she would be the first French citizen extradited to another state, to be judged there.
