Brompton is an arrondissement, or borough, of the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec. The borough comprises the former city of Bromptonville, which was amalgamated into the city of Sherbrooke in 2002.

Prior to the municipal amalgamation, Bromptonville was part of Le Val-Saint-François Regional County Municipality.

As an independent municipality, Bromptonville had a population of 5,571 in the Canada 2001 Census. As a borough of Sherbrooke, it had a population of 5,771 in 2006.

Government

The borough is represented by three councillors on Sherbrooke City Council. Its current councillors are Nicole Bergeron, Benoît Dionne and Michel Lamontagne.
