User Darcyj is John P Darcy, of Canberra, Australia. I was born on 19 August 1968 and am married with two preschool-aged daughters.
Areas of Interest
When The Doctor was asked one time by Oscar Botcherby if he was interested in lepidoptery, he emphatically replied "I am interested in everything, Mr Botcherby!" I tend to feel the same way, although I can identify a few subjects which have no intrinsic merit whatsoever (such as hip hop or Anna Nicole Smith's legal manouverings).
However, there are some things which excite my interest more than others ... and a Wiki contribution from me on any of these could appear at any time.
Sports
Cricket has been my first love (amongst sports) since early childhood, being the national sport of Australia. When I first became aware of my world, the likes of Greg Chappell, Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson were stars.
My interests are not limited to cricket, however. I maintain an avid interest in baseball, American Football, golf, tennis, athletics, Formula One motor racing and snooker. I don't play all of them myself, but I am a cricket umpire in the Sydney Grade club competition and a regular tenpin bowler with a 170+ average and a string of 230+ scores to my credit.
