This user advocates unified discussion, if you comment here, I will reply on your talk page and move the entire discussion to your talk page in the process; I would prefer it if you did the same, moving the thread back here for your reply. That way the discussions will always stay together and the intended recipient will see the message alert when he or she logs on. If you create a broken discussion by replying here while leaving my comments on your talk page, I may leave the discussion as is and continue the broken discussion, or I may reunite the discussion in my reply, depending on what I think makes more sense. Thanks.

Stellenbosch to bid for Wikimania 2012!
Hi Doug!
The nascent South African Wikimedia chapter has decided to bid to host Wikimania in Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2012. This would be the first Wikimania in South Africa, and would be a great advertisement for our country. Please take a look at meta:Wikimania_2012/Bids/Stellenbosch. If you can add to the discussion, please do. If you feel that you are able to do anything to help, please join the Wikimedia South Africa mailing list and let us know. Even simple messages of support are valued!
Best regards,
The Bugle: Issue LXIII, May 2011

Your edits to Masonic bodies
I reverted your edits because the changes were incorrect. I would assume that you have no knowledge of the subject, and that is why there was a problem. For example, apart from the caps error, it was called the "Premier Grand Lodge of England".
"Rightly or wrongly" is also correct - the historical reason for schism was not a definite black or white issue where something was contrary to practice; it was merely a matter of interpretation, and no blame has ever been assigned for anything relating to that period of time.
As to your "not four subdivisions" change, there are two umbrella bodies, both of which are further subdivided into four groups, and that's obvious information from the web pages of both groups.
If you want to edit a specialized article, it is imperative that due diligence be done to verify information before changes are made. MSJapan (talk) 16:34, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Sockpuppet alert.
Sorry to disturb you, but can you block Romar9131 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log). This guy is actually a sockpuppet of Christian2941 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) who inserts hoax information on articles about Filipino actors and TV shows and Asian cable channels. This guy also used sockpuppets with the suffix Romar91xx. The vandal was already reported to WP:AIV, but still currently unactioned. Please act on this ASAP. Thank you. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 08:11, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- It appears another admin has blocked the account. I would have been happy to deal with vandalism; but I'm not really very experienced with sockpuppet identification. If you have a more persistent sock, I would suggest WP:SPI.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 09:05, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
ANI on Marine 69-71
Subsequent to your hatting of the discussion, DGG made an interesting point about the possibility of a short block as being within the power of the ANI. If that is the case, and given the general consensus that his actions were improper, I wonder if that is a more viable alternative than an RfC that is likely to be yet another drama-fest? I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. If the "train has already left the station," then I will proceed with the RfC. ScottyBerg (talk) 13:38, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I hadn't seen that, I've re-opened the discussion and replaced the {{resolved}} tag with an {{unresolved}}.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 14:02, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- BTW, I will refrain from sharing, or even making, any thoughts on this as that would make me involved, I haven't read the underlying material in order to stay neutral, I'm just trying to read consensus on the ANI discussion. Not that I will necessarily be re-closing the discussion but I try to stay out of the merits (or lack of merits, as the case may be) of the various quasi-disciplinary boards unless I'm involved from the start :-).--Doug.(talk • contribs) 14:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, I hadn't read it either. I do believe that it was posted after you hatted the discussion! I have posted a note there. If we can't wrap this up, I'll proceed with the RfC. ScottyBerg (talk) 14:08, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- Just to correct myself - I'm not sure it happened after the discussion was hatted. Sorry. ScottyBerg (talk) 14:12, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Autopatrolled
I noticed you assigned the autopatrolled right User:Ginger Warrior the other day. This right is granted to prolific article creators who have created 50+ non-problematic articles. User:Ginger Warrior has created 18 articles. That said, I've removed the right from their account for now. Just thought I'd let you know. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 20:32, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
