Sorry 4 The Wait is a mixtape by Lil Wayne, named thusly as an apology for the continued wait of Tha Carter IV. Lil Wayne told MTV, the mixtape will have about 10 songs and be similar to No Ceilings, with him rapping over other artist’s beats. It is to be released for digital download on July 13, 2011.

Background

Cortez Bryant pushed Tha Carter IV back until August 29th, therefore the mixtape was made. Young Money president Mack Maine tweeted "BREAKING NEWS!!! Lil Wayne mixtape “SORRY 4 THE WAIT” coming soon!!!!! #C4boom".[1] Rapper Lil B will appear on the mixtape, so as Lil Twist and Drake.

"Tunechi's Back" was the first track leaked off the mixtape on July 8. It samples "Tupac Back" by Meek Mill featuring Rick Ross.
