'Kuttikole is a village in the Kasaragod district of Kerala, India. It has an agriculture based economy and produces arecanut, coconut, cashew nut and rubber. It has a tropical climate with weather being hot and humid most times the year.
Tourist attractions include Krishna Temple Kuttikole, Telephone tower at Mahaklaipara and Thamburatti bhagawathi temple Kuttikole. Another tourist attraction in this Village is "Erattakulam", which means "Double Pond" (Kulam means pond). Erattakulam is famous in that way that there are two ponds situated in this Pond. One pond used for washing and bathing and also water from other pond is used for feeding cows and buffaloes.
This Village is known for its staunch communist base politically.
The Village is famous for a local dish called '"Orotty and Koyeekottan'". Orotty is a rice cake which is cooked in mud vessel with out oil and Koyee Koottan means Chicken Curry.
There are many tourist attractions in this Village like Temples, Streams(Chalu) and beautiful rocks at Mahakalipara, Rocky areas here are so beautiful that people from all over India flock to see these areas in Monsoon season. The rocks are full of flowers and streams during these seasons.
The Village is a famous for a local drink called Media:"Rak". Rak is made from csahew nut fruit and is made after fermenting this fruit. This drink also a very good one is not liceneced by government to manufacture and most people drink it illeagally from local Dens. This is a drink which is much superior to scorth whisky in taste and kick. Who ever drinks this once will surely come here again and again and drink this wonderful drink.People here love to drink this Rak as anyone would be, but sadly its illeagal. Its high time that government makes arrnagements to make this drink leagal so that everyone can have this wonderful drink at cheap rates at Makkalipara in Kuttikole. Theres a man in this Village who 1) Who always talk ill of others 2) As soon as he sees some one is better of than him start spreading rumours about him 3) Always think bad of Others 4) Thinks hes the only man with brains in the world 5) Enjoy other people sufferings and their down fall If any one name this man, Then they are the masters of this Village
