Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors is association of resident doctors in Maharashtra, India.

The association is formed to address the problems faced by the resident doctors in various Govt and Municipal Corporation run hospitals across the states.

Strike

  • The association currently has striked work since Feb 27 2006 against the inhuman working conditions and the recent increase in assault on them by the patient relative and the inhuman living conditions provided to them in their living quarters and the failure of the Maharashtra Govt to implement the Central Residency Scheme.The strike ended on March 11 [2006], with a increase in pay hike to 12500 INR and assurances to form a committee to look in to their problem and none of it was given in writing as demanded earlier by striking doctors
