Mian Wo is a deep fried doughnut shape small dish from Wuhan, Hubei province in central China. It is made by soy milk, rice milk, flour, sesame and chopped scallion. Mian Wo usually has salty taste, however; there are same shaped food made by diced sweet potato and of course it has sweet taste.

The history of this food is unknown, some believe it was been made since Qing Dynasty by a local sesame cake maker Chang ZiRen.[1]
