KLKS (104.3 FM) is a radio station owned by the Lakes Broadcasting Group and located in Breezy Point, Minnesota. It serves the Brainerd Lakes Area.

It broadcasts a Beautiful Music format, and has evolved into its current "Timeless" programming. "K-Lakes" aims for an audience of 35 and up, by offering a full-service format featuring music, news, weather and lots of local information. Music selections cover all popular titles since 1950. Artists range from Frank Sinatra to Barbra Streisand, Dave Grusin to Hurricane Smith.

The Lakes Broadcasting Group is also owner of KLKS-LP channel 14, a silent low-power television station licensed to Breezy Point. It rebroadcasted KARE, the NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities, from 1995 until July 16, 2011, when carriage of KARE was discontinued due to a decision made by the Gannett Company, the owner of KARE.[1]

Ownership

KLKS was built in 1993 by Allen Gray, who has a broadcasting career of 60 years. He was inducted into the Museum of Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2001.[2]
