About me:

I'm 26 years old.  I used the alias "Terminator" between 2000 and 2009, but now go by the name "Taygon".

I generally try to be helpful on this wiki, usually by fixing random grammar and spelling mistakes as I encounter them, and reverting vandalism.

I'm a budding author, writing under the pen name of Ryan Ashkoort.  I have recently finished my first book, entitled "Reborn".  It's a conjectural sci-fi novel about FedCom and their Cytran project, and what happens when the world attacks this new country out of fear and racism (approximately 40 years from today).  The book shows the world from the viewpoint of one of the Cytrans, giving us a unique perspective not found in any other book of the genre (that I'm aware of).  Although the events of the book and the characters are fictional, the background setting and the depiction of FedCom and Malatora are fairly accurate: that vision is heavily based off of the real FedCom's vision of the future.

What the heck is "FedCom"?

I founded a new-nation project in 2000, now known throughout the micronational community as the Federated Commonwealth of Malatora (commonly shortened to FedCom).  The word "Malatora" is the name FedCom's citizens have given their homeland: it is this area the organization seeks sovereignty for.

As of 19 March 2011, the nation has 20 citizens, plus 43 immigrants (total global population = 63).  FedCom stands unique among micronations: its economic system and several major social projects have no counterparts in the micronational community, or (possibly) the rest of the world.

FedCom actually bears more of a resemblance to a self-determination movement than any extant or historical micronation.

FedCom's small government is run as a decentralized direct democracy that rejects hierarchical authority, with a small meritocratic "round table"-style Council serving as symbolic leaders and advisors to the people as a whole.  The economy is a moneyless variation of a gift economy (very similar to a permanent version of a really really free market), and the dominant political ideology is strongly influenced by libertarian socialism and anarcho-communism.  The social aspects are very similar to certain benefit societies.

FedCom has a home-grown transhumanist project, known as the Cytran project, which continues to shape FedCom culture and motivate our people to achieve their rightful sovereign freedom.  A brief article about this project can be found here.  This project is exceptionally popular with our otherkin population and otherkin sympathizers.  As a free society that embraces diversity, FedCom welcomes such subcultures equally and without any form of discrimination.

  • Rather than impose itself on this wiki, FedCom's citizens have decided to let this community write an article about their nation when the wiki community feels the time is right.  FedCom has a website, an active message board, and an article on the MNeu wiki, which anyone interested in writing an article here should find useful.
