I tried clicking on the two external links that you added... but my browser doesn't seem to do anything with them... it just gives a blank screen for me. Do you have any thoughts on what can be done (either at the Wikipedia article end, or else to my browser) to get it to work? Thanks in advance for any thoughts. The links works fine for me in Chromium and Firefox (without addons) for me. But I noticed that the links does not work for me when using NoScript/AdBlock extension. -- Frap (talk) 14:17, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chaning x64 to x86-64

Hello, Frap. How do you do?

It seems you are on crusade to change every instance of x64 to x86-64. I do not mind your doing it; though I feel this is just a color of the bike shed issue. However, I just advise you not to do it: Soon, someone will propose that x86-64 is not in use at all but x64 is wide use, so the article should be renamed x64.

Quad-core diagram

It would be nice if you could make a quad-core image of File:Dual Core Generic.svg for the multi-core processor article. -- Frap (talk) 13:03, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what that would add -- it would be the same diagram with four cpus and caches instead of 2. I think that the two core diagram illustrates the concept more clearly. Dennis (talk) 13:48, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are many ways to quad-core. Example one die with 4 cores or 2 dies with 2 cores. -- Frap (talk) 22:11, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

Hi Frap, do you think you could use edit summaries more of the time? A simple c/e (copy edit) would do for edits like this - it only takes a second but saves others time as they won't have to bother checking the diff. Thanks SmartSE (talk) 19:33, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I try to, but sometimes I slip... -- Frap (talk) 20:44, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Boot image has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unreferenced inhabitant of the zoo consisting of disk and partition stubs

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 89.204.153.138 (talk) 00:03, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
