Nova Publishers is an academic publisher based in Hauppauge, New York of books and journals for an academic audience. Frank Columbus is the current editor-in-chief. The company focuses on science, political science, European and Asian studies, and security studies.[1]

Impact

In an evaluation of twenty-one international social-science book publishers according to nineteen quality criteria, Nova Publishers ranked 17th.[2]

Criticism

The publisher has been criticized for republishing public domain material in their journals (often chapters taken from early 20th century non-scholarly books) and for so-called "cross publication," where the same paper is republished in more than one collection.[5]
