Ohio House of Representatives
Although Landis was initially tagged to run against incumbent Allan Sayre, Sayre exited the race after the primary, giving Landis an edge for the general election.[1] Democrats soon after appointed attorney Joshua O'Farrell to Sayre's seat, and ran him as the nominee for the general election.[2] In the general election, Landis bested the incumbent by about 1,000 votes, with 51.04% of the electorate.[3]
Landis was sworn into his first term on January 3, 2011, and is a member of the committees on Agriculture and Natural Resources, Economic and Small Business Development, Public Utilities, and Veterans Affairs. Landis also serves on the Technical Advisory Committee to Assist the Director of the Ohio Coal Development Office; and on the Council on Unreclaimed Strip Mined Lands.
