Kaya Futbol Club, also known as Kaya Cignal, Kaya Digiprint, or Kaya Aloha Boardsports, is an association football club based in the Philippines.

The club is one of the founding members of the United Football League as a semi-professional football tournament. The team played the first match of the UFL inaugural season against Nomads FC on 17 October 2009 at the Nomad Sports Club in Merville, Parañaque.[1] (Note: Phil and James Younghusband played for Nomads FC during this match according to an article at inquirer.net).

It is one of the most decorated clubs in the country winning cups in various tournaments around the country. Among them are 2010 Alaska Cup Men's Open.[2]

The May 2010 Controversy

An article at Football Alliance website says: "...Loyola ATR KimEng ... proved their mastery of the 1-0 win, as they scored early and shut out Kaya Digiprint, in a fiery affair that saw coaching staff sent off..."[3]

Withdrawal in the 2010-11 LBC-UFL Cup

The Football Alliance charged Kaya Football Club a fine of two hundred thousand pesos (Php 200,000) after their withdrawal from the United Football Cup.

“With accordance to Article 39 section 1 of the UFL Rules and Regulations, Kaya has been fined P200,000 for their withdrawal from the current LBC-UFL Cup. Article 39 Section 1 – A fine of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos Philippine Currency (PHP 200,000.00) shall be imposed on clubs for withdrawing after the submission of the Official Entry Form but before the submission of the Team Registration Form.”[4]

Strategy and Preferred Formation

The club played the first match against Philippine Navy FC. In the first half, Kaya used the 4-3-3 formation with 1 defensive midfielder and 1 forward slightly inclined with the left and right forward. The formation can also be called: 4-1-2-1-2.

Training Ground

The team conduct training either at the Urdaneta Park or Polo Club.
