Juhi Chawla (born 13 November, 1967 in Ludhiana, Punjab) is a popular Indian actress.

She was the winner of Miss India title in 1984, later she won Best Costume Award for the Miss Universe contest in 1984.

From beauty contests, she moved into film. Her first big hit was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, in which she starred with Aamir Khan. This Romeo and Juliet story of persecuted teenage lovers was an enormous success and launched Aamir's and Juhi's careers. Formed a popular on-screen pair with Aamir Khan


Her first film with Shah Rukh Khan was a huge hit; they have been friends ever since and own a film production firm (Dreamz Unlimited) as joint partners.

Juhi won the Filmfare Best Actress Award in 1993 for Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and a Star Screen Award Best Supporting Actress for 3 Deewarein.

Juhi Chawla is married to industrialist Jai Mehta and is the mother of two children.

Juhi Chawla is making her comeback opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's (Happy New Year which is slated for an early 2007 release and opposite Anil Kapoor in Nikhil Advani's Salaam E Ishq: A Tribute To Love which is slated for a November 24, 2006 release.
