Higher Institute of Mining, Industry and Geology (fr. École des Mines, de l'Industrie et de la Géologie de Niamey, EMIG) is the only Institute of technology in Niger dedicated to the formation of engineers.

EMIG is under the tutelage of the Ministry of Education. Located on the right bank of the Niger River in Niamey, EMIG was established in 1982 as an international institution from the CEAO (fr. Communauté Economique des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest). The first students were enrolled in January 1990. In July 1995 EMIG was retro-ceded to the Nigerien government due to the crises encountered by the CEAO.
