Fair use rationale for Image:S&w m&p semi-auto.jpg

Image:S&w m&p semi-auto.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Recent changes

Can one of the admins who are doign the various moves and deletions etc please post something on the talk page explaining what they're doing? The Trigger (firearms) article describes pre-set triggers. The article mentions the M&P is striker fired and contains an internal link to the pre-set trigger part of the previously mentioned article.--Francis Flinch (talk) 15:29, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The term DAO literally translates as 'double action only'. Early striker fired pistols such as the Smith & Wesson Sigma can be tagged with this label as the act of pulling the trigger moved the striker rearward then forward as the hook was released by the sear hence the double movement or double action. The M&P by nature of the action of the slide cycling preloads the strikes and no further reqarward movement is evident before sear release so the term 'DAO' would not apply in this case.
