Kwon(權) is a Korean family name. sources list as many as 56 clans, but report a only two are documented. there are unknown Kwon clan in north korea. chinese Kwon people live at korea in morden time by telecast.

  • the Andong Kwon clan, was founded by a Shilla aristocrat named Kim Haeng(金幸) who helped Wang Geon, the founder of the Goryeo kingdom, establish himself as ruler in 918.   • The Yecheon Kwon clan’s original surname was Heun(昕). However, the name Heun(昕) was chosen for the Koryo king Myongjong’s posthumous name in 1197.
