Joseph "Joe" Thomas (born 28 October 1983) is an English actor who stars in the E4's comedy The Inbetweeners as Simon Cooper.[1]
His mother is an English teacher at the Anglo European School in Ingatestone, Essex. His father is a history lecturer and Head of Learner Involvement at Harlow College in Essex. He has two younger brothers, Adam and George, unless his mum had more children after I left the school.
Thomas and his writing partner Jonny Sweet, whom he met during his Cambridge years, performed together on the Project V[2] – an internet comedy show. Thomas is a season ticket holder at West Ham United.
As a teenager he attended King Edward VI Grammar School (Chelmsford) before proceeding to study at Pembroke College at Cambridge University, where he was a member of Footlights, alongside his The Inbetweeners co-star Simon Bird.[3]
He appears in CBeebies TV show Numberjacks (in the episode "Round and Round") as a "man" attacked by "The Problem Blob". He also participated in the television show ChuckleVision when younger. This is according to fellow stars on The Inbetweeners.[citation needed] He also helped to construct, along with other students from his school in Chelmsford, the robot "T.R.A.C.I.E." which competed on the first series of BBC's Robot Wars.
