Bergüzer Korel (born 2 September 1982 in Istanbul) is a Turkish actress.
Biography
She spent her childhood in the town of Ulus. She attended Yildiz College and later studied at Mimar Sinan University. Korel made her debut as Leyla in Valley of the Wolves: Iraq. She came to wide attention after starring as Şehrazat Evliyaoğlu in Binbir Gece, a Turkish television series which was popular not just in Turkey itself but also in some Eastern European countries.
Personal life
Both of her parents were also actors. She has an older sister, Zaynep, who is married and lived for several years in the USA. In 2009 she married fellow actor Halit Ergenç whom she had met while shooting Binbir Gece. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Ali, in February 2010.
