Nickelodeon Africa is a 24-hour children's channel. Before it was a channel, it was a block on the African children's channel K-TV, before it created another channel in 2006, Koowee, and rebranded itself as Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon was launched in July 2008 in southern Africa and has grown from strength to strength by becoming the channel of choice for many African families. Nickelodeon currently reaches 3 million households across sub-Saharan Africa and is broadcast in 47 countries across the African continent.
