Walter Reed Army Medical Center is a hosptical run by the United States Army. It is part of the larger Walter Reed Health Care System, which includes some ten other hopstitals.

The center is named after Walter Reed, an army doctor who led the team which discovered that yellow fever is transmitted by mosquitos rather than direct contact.
