The history of Gil-Galad

Gil-Galad became High-king of the Noldor Elves when the Elven city of Gondolin was destroyed by an invading army of Balrogs, Dragons, Trolls and Orcs, and King Turgon was killed. Fleeing with the remnants of his people, Gil-Galad eventually established his kingdom in Lindon, (the same place that the Hobbits later established the Shire). File:Gil-galad.jpg

It was to Lindon tthat Elendil ands the other people of Numenor landed. This was the first relationship between the Elves and the Men of Numenor
