Joel Monaghan ( in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia) is a rugby league player for the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League competition. He is currently out for the 2006 NRL Season with a knee injury sustained in the first 3 minutes of a trial match at WIN Stadium, while playing the St George Illawarra Dragons. His older brother Michael Monaghan plays for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
