Allen Loughry

Allen H. Loughry II is an author [1],jurist, and academic[2] from West Virginia. He is best known for writing Don’t Buy Another Vote, I Won’t Pay for a Landslide. He is currently running as a Republican candidate in the 2012 election for the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia [3].

Early life and education

Loughry was born and raised in Tucker County, West Virginia. He developed an interest in West Virginia politics and government at the age of six and went on to receive a B.S. from West Virginia University. He holds four separate Law degrees including and S.J.D. (Doctor of Judicial Science) from theAmerican University,Washington College of Law; an LL.M. (master of Laws in Criminology and Criminal Justice) from theUniversity of London; anLL.M. (master of Laws in Law and Government) from the American University, Washington College of Law; and aJ.D. from Capital University School of Law. In addition, he has studied law at the University of Oxford [4].
