Categoría Primera C
The Primera C is the third division of the Association of Professional football Clubs of Colombia (DIMAYOR). It is run by Difutbol (División Aficionada del Fútbol Colombiano).
When Primera C began in 1991, there was a system of promotions and demotions between it and Primera B. This system ceased from 2002 when, for administrative and economic reasons, the Primera C tournament was not played. Instead, Primera C is played by reserves of the major teams, to give them the opportunity to show themselves to the people and their teams, though without the possibility of promotion.

The tournament is divided in two zones, each containing 10 teams.
