Poyya is a village in Thrissur district in the state of Kerala, India.[1]
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census, Poyya had a population of 10255 with 4907 males and 5348 females. the real name of poyya is "poya" which means land of rivers.It has its village office situated at poopathy in poyya. it homes many famous churches such st. sebastian's church etc. it is also the home some famous personalities like justin johnson, fernando etc. the shrimp exporting centre is also located in poyya.
