Akwasi Fobi-Edusei (sometimes listed as Akwasi Fobe-Edusei or simply Akwasi Edusei, born 12 September 1986 in London) is an English professional football associations player currently Un-attached. He began his career with Gillingham, where he made 21 appearances in The Football League making his debut in the championship aged 15 becoming one of the clubs youngest ever players. In 2005 he then went on to score the winning goal against Liverpool at Anfield in the F.A youth cup 4th round. In 2006 it was reported on Sky sports news that his performances had alerted both Millwall and Bristol city who were both weighing up offers for the young winger. He is well known for his lightning pace and strong left foot[1] It was alleged in 2006 that he was called up to the Ghana u19 national side where both of his parents are from but due to injury had to pull out. He has also played on loan for Welling United[2] and Farnborough.[3]
