Bullying parties

needs to explain the different possible parties involved such as:

  • manager bullies nurse
  • doctor bullies nurse
  • nurse bullies nurse
  • nurse bullies patient
  • patient bullies nurse.

More information could be given

they could give more information about what kinds of bullying goes on and also what kind of things can be done to but a stop to or atleast reduce the bullying that takes place in the work place. BrandiH05 (talk) 05:10, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bullying in the nursing program

Self-esteem has a diiferent affect on each person individually. Nurses with healthy self-esteem are likely to deliver therapeutic patient care, while those with low self-esteem are less likely to do so (Journal of advanced nursing). The way you feel may be the way you treat your patients.[1]* reference 1

This has problems. The tone of the first sentence is wrong. Also how do you know what most people think? Avoid words like most unless you are backing it up with a reference stating that 51+% of people think about nurses and self-esteem. Your second sentence is a direct quote from journal, although not the journal that you state parenthetically. This isn't really a good spot for a direct qu ote. Wikipedia:Quotations has some guidelines, but I suspect the information in the quoted sentence could be rewritten to also include more information from the article and then cited. The ref also looks ok, although you added a url after that seems wrong, and the Date field didn't import correctly from the DOI. So in short it looks like you may have picked an all right source (good since it is listed on the article already as a source for more information) but you didn't do very well at incorporating that information into this article. That's a little better but this is still a WP:CLOSEPARAPHRASE of the statement in the journal. Also you should avoid statements like your last sentence since it implies that the reader of the article is a nurse treating patients which may not be the case; don't use the word you like you did. --MTHarden (talk) 21:00, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
