Goldenport Park Circuit is a permanent circuit in Jinzhanxiang, Chaoyang District, Beijing, People's Republic of China (10 km North of Beijing[1]) designed by Australian Michael McDonough.[2] The racing track is rated FIA grade 3.[3] It held a round of China Superbike Championship (CSBK) and China Circuit Championship (CCC) for touring cars.
The circuit became a replacement round of the 2011 FIA GT1 World Championship season after the Curitiba round had been canceled. The race took place the week after the round held in Ordos, which is also located in China.
The circuit
The circuit is 3.3 km (2.06 mi) long in distance with the width between 12m – 20m. It is a F.I.A. Class 4 Homologated Circuit with 2 Grandstands and 25 Pit garages.[4] The circuit has a very smooth surface and very little grip on several sections.[5]
