Camp Lazlo is an American animated television series created by Joe Murray, produced by Cartoon Network Studios and currently airs on Cartoon Network. The show features a Boy Scout-like summer camp with a cast of all animal characters, along with a "retro" type of humor and silliness which is akin to Murray's previous series, Rocko's Modern Life (which aired on Nickelodeon a decade earlier). The episode ratings vary between TV-Y and TV-Y7. Each episode is split into two parts approximately 11 minutes long.

Carlos Alazraqui, Tom Kenny and Doug Lawrence, who did much of the voice work on Rocko's Modern Life, provide lead voices in this show as well, along with veteran voice actors like Jeff Bennett, Jodi Benson, Jill Talley, and Alazraqui's Reno 911! co-star, Steve Little.

Camp Lazlo premiered on July 8, 2005 with episodes on Fridays at 8 PM ET/PT in the USA.

Contrasting Camp Lazlo and Rocko's Modern Life

There's a noticeable difference in the two shows content-wise. Rocko's Modern Life was known for it's incredibly dirty humor, and somehow still managed to slip by with a TV-Y rating. Camp Lazlo, on the other hand, has little to no dirty humor at all, and has a TV-Y7 rating. In fact, some content of Rocko's Modern Life was so bad, the clips were pulled off the air. Nothing of this sort has occurred on Camp Lazlo, nor is any of the shows humor satrical or contain innuendo.

Comparing Spongebob Squarepants and Camp Lazlo

Many Rocko's Modern Life fans have noticed a similarity between Spongebob Squarepants and Camp Lazlo. This may be due to the overlap in the two shows' cast and crew. Tom Kenny, Doug Lawrence, and Carlos Alazraqui provide voices for both shows. Other Similarities might be that some music are alike.
