Engine
I'm new to editing on wiki, but I was wondering if the reference to the engine of the game was truly reliable. The game feels and plays nothing like Dead Space: Extraction. It plays more like Eurocom's earlier Quantum of Solace which was based on the COD4 engine, which leads me to believe this is built on the same engine, only optimized for the Wii. Just my two cents, but I would prefer a more reliable source on the Game Engine.
Plot
I have been editing the plot of the game needs a bit more work. (Simpson 742 (talk) 06:53, 5 November 2010 (UTC)Simpson 742)
Why is it that when someone comes on here and spells a bunch of the names wrong about thirty times and I decide to make it right, I look at the article half an hour later and all the mistakes have been put back in? Is it some sort of automatic administration? 'Travalyan' and 'Miskin' are not correct, people! (Fishsticks64) (talk) 23:41, 6 November 2010
Excessive Plot Summary
I haven't played the game yet, so I can't write anything, but the plot summary is at least five times too long. It's excessive. It would be really great if someone who's played the game could shorten it into a couple of paragraphs.--LostOverThere (talk) 04:04, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Nintendo DS version?
There seems to be a great lacking on any form of information based on the Nintendo DS version of the game in comparison to its console cousin (Wii version). I personally did not get around to play the game on the Nintendo DS, but there should be someone out there in Wikipedia who did. Hope(N Forever) (talk) 18:33, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
David G. Wilson
There seems to have been a bit of debate with the following:
"Bond film director and producer David G. Wilson spoke in June 2010 about Daniel Craig's participation in revisiting the story from the original film."
This is wrong. David G. Wilson has not directed any Bond films and is not a producer. His father, Michael G. Wilson is the Bond film series producer and director. I've tried to change it but it's been changed back. Perhaps we could find a stronger source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LostOverThere (talk • contribs) 03:00, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
BRD discussion
I'm not overly concerned with this article, but I thought I'd give justification for the reasoning behind my edits, which have since been reverted per WP:BRD:
- The image of the controller is not a gameplay element; if it was the gold-colored GoldenEye controller would have properties unique to it from the other controllers. It is in fact something that was used in the Development and Marketing of the game, thus my rationale for moving that image. As far as the text that accompanies it - it could easily be placed in either spot, either as a gameplay element, or as a design choice during development of the game, so I moved it to fall in line with the controller. The image also has alignment issues which per WP:MOSIMAGES should be fixed where possible.
- Gameplay sections typically go first per the video game article guidelines, except in such cases where it's necessary to know plot elements to understand gameplay. No plot points are necessary to understand how this game is played, so thus the rearrangement. This also puts the article further in line with WP:MOSIMAGES as the images are not stacked nor overbearing to the reader.
- In regards to the final combining of two paragraphs, the manual of style dictates small paragraphs should be merged where possible. The MOS was followed as well in changing a blockquote into standard text. WP:MOSQUOTE states that only long quotes should be placed in a block quote.

RareWare?
I am just curious as to how this title even came to be. I see no mention of Rare, the developer of the original Goldeneye 64 game, in this article at all. Several of the multiplayer maps are the exact same layout as the original, as are some of the original character names (and not just the characters from the movie like Bond, Onatop, etc) and, aside from the modern graphics, few new game mechanics and new weapons, it is the same game. So why isn't Rare credited at all?Necro-File (talk) 19:13, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Because Rare is now owned by Microsoft, who tried to get an updated Goldeneye 007 port for the Xbox online system. But they couldn't because of Nintendo. The reason is in this article Goldeneye 007 --Smokeyfire (talk) 09:52, 6 March 2011 (UTC)Smokeyfire.
Multiplayer
I noticed while skimming through this article that the "Multiplayer" section reads like a tutorial. If someone could cut this down to an encyclopedic overview, that'd be great. I love Goldeneye, but this is still an encyclopedia. Venku Tur'Mukan (talk) 17:28, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- Just saw this page and had the same grievance as you, attempted to fix it. Could probably be improved more but I feel what I changed it to is a massive improvement over what was there. DeutscherStahl (talk) 01:28, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
