List of Naruto OVAs

Due to the success of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto, the series has spawned three OVAs, or Original Video Animations. The first two of which were aired at Shonen Jump's Jump Festa 2003 and Jump Festa 2004, respectively and were later released on DVD. The third OVA was released on a bonus disc with the video game Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3 for the PlayStation 2.

Naruto OVA 1: Jump Festa 2003

• Japanese Title: 紅き四つ葉のクローバーを探せ (Akaki Yotsuba no Kurōbā o Sagase)
• In English: Find the Crimson Four-Leaf Clover

Konohamaru is in love with a girl, Yoshino Kaede, and he wishes to win her heart with a red four leaf clover, which is supposed to grant any wish. Konohamaru asks Uzumaki Naruto to help him find it, but they are attacked by marionettes in the forbidden zone, Akagahara. Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke appear to help, but still can't defeat them. At last, the marionettes shut off after Konohamaru lifts the sacred statue back to its original position. Konohamaru gives the clover to the Kaede, and she kisses him on his cheek.

Naruto OVA 2: Jump Festa 2004

• Japanese Title: 滝隠れの死闘　オレが英雄だってばよ! (Takigakure no Shitō Ore ga Eiyū Dattebayo!)
• In English: Battle at Hidden Falls. I am the Hero!

This OVA is more action-oriented than the first one. In the beginning, Team 7 along with Hatake Kakashi escort a ninja to his home at the Hidden Waterfall Village. The ninja is a coward due to circumstances surrounding his father's death. The Hidden Village has a secret bottle of water hidden. The water imbues whoever drinks it with temporary increased chakra. The effects are similar to opening a "chakra gate" in that it can shorten lifespan as well. Five rogue ninja come to the village to steal the special water, and Team 7 may be their best defense.

Naruto OVA 3: Naruto Narutimate Hero Bonus Episode

• Japanese Title: ついに激突！上忍VS下忍！！無差別大乱戦大会開催！！ (Tsuini gekitotsu! Jōnin tai Genin!! Musabetsu dairansen taikai kaisai!!)
• In English: Finally a clash! Jōnin VS Genin!! Indiscriminate grand melee tournament meeting!!

This is included as an extra with the Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3 video game for the Playstation 2. Storywise, Hero 3 sees you returning to Leaf Ninja village to take part in a new crystal snatching tournament. Play as Naruto and team up with other fellow fighters to find all the crystals that have been scattered about. Battle against opponents to collect information and gather crystals. But that's going to be no walk in the park: your rivals include the three strongest Sennins of Konoha, Naruto's teacher and living legend Sennin Jiraiya, Sennin Shizune and the 5th hokage Tsunade! Prepare for a challenge that requires full mastery of the easy-to-learn combat system; you'll feel Naruto's struggle in these dramatic encounters, that's for sure! While exploring, you can converse with other characters of the village to obtain objectives of missions. It does not fit in with the anime timeline.
