Hello, I've listed your Ralph Lerner article on the Copyright problems page, because it is a copy of the page at http://olincenter.uchicago.edu/lerner_cv.html, which clearly says, "HTML ©1999 The John M. Olin Center for Inquiry into the Theory and Practice of Democracy, University of Chicago Revised: December 17th, 1999". Copyright violations can lead to the copyright owner suing Wikipedia, this is not a good thing. If you want to write the article in your own words, please do so. Zoe 05:24, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

Not a problem. If somebody sees it on the copyright problems page and decides to create a new article, they can do so, else it will be deleted after 5 days. Zoe 05:42, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

Speedy tag notice

Hello, Aquamari, and welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Raffles education corporation, has been tagged for speedy deletion because its content is clearly written to promote a company, product, or service. This article may have been deleted by the time you see this message. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service. Thank you. Seraphimblade 09:30, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Zoe, my intention was not to promote. I think that the company is doing something fascinating. But I can now see that the article that needs to be written is on the for profit education business in Asia - in which Raffles (and other companies)would feature prominantly.

Please feel free to delete the article.

Thks,

Aquamari

Deleted page "Raffles education corporation"

Hi. A page you created, Raffles education corporation, has been deleted in accordance with our deletion policy.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable notability guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content; it will be deleted again and may be protected from re-creation. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article. If you have any questions, please contact an administrator for assistance. Thank you – Gurch 12:11, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Ruth wisse

A tag has been placed on Ruth wisse, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 05:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
