Felicita Frai

I've just seen your HOTCAT edit to Felicita Frai. Do you think she belongs in Italian painters? The article says she was Czech. TheMadBaron (talk) 22:04, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up, now corrected Racklever (talk) 22:20, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's interesting, but rather sad, to see that you and 3 other editors (as well as a bot) edited this stub without realising it should have been redirected to the long-established article at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore! 85.211.13.188 (talk) 13:47, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jon Miquel Toral Harper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non notable player = not yet played professionally for first team / does not satisfy GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Anna und Bernhard Blume

Anna and Bernhard Blume are a couple. Bernhard died, Anna lives, that tells me "living=yes", no? It's still a bio of one living person. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:05, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. The page is currently in the category "2011 deaths" which I used as a filter to set "living=no". Racklever (talk) 09:12, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jon Miquel Toral Harper, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Argyle 4 Lifetalk 17:57, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a little bit of magic which can save you an awful lot of time and effort!

You might want to consider using this tool - (tools:~dispenser/cgi-bin/webreflinks.py) - it makes your life a whole heap easier, by filling in complete citation templates for your links. All you do is install the script on Special:MyPage/common.js, or or Special:MyPage/vector.js, then paste the bare url (without [...] brackets) between your <ref></ref> tabs, and you'll find a clickable link called Reflinks in your toolbox section of the page (probably in the left hand column). Then click that tool. It does all the rest of the work (provided that you remember to save the page! It doesn't work for everything (particularly often not for pdf documents), but for pretty much anything ending in "htm" or "html" (and with a title) it will do really, really well all by itself. For those it can;t do by itself, it gives you a pull-down (or up) menu of templates to choose from, which you can then fill in manually. Often the problem is "No title found" - sometimes the title is obvious (especially if it's a pdf), bit, if not, just open the page yourself and choose soemthing appropriate if there's not already a clear title there.
