Judith Ralston

Judith Ralston trained as a musician from an early age. She continued her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, the Royal Northern College of Music and in Canada. She received a number of awards.

Her singing career ended as a result of a collapse of her voice[1], and in 1999 she began a new career in broadcasting at BBC Scotland. She has had a wide and varied career here, from presenting classical music programmes for Radio Scotland and Radio 3 and articles, televison news bullitens, to being a regular voice of travel and weather on Radio Scotland. She is now one of the main weather presenters for BBC Scotland on both television and radio.

Ralston was born in Edinburgh and is married to the meteorologist and photographer Fraser Ralston. They have 3 children, Alexander, Max and Georgia. (In February 2011 she gave birth to twins[2],at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital, Glasgow)
