HISTORICAL BACKGROUND Barangay Nasugban was established during the second half of the sixteenth century.The original living families were the family of Teniente ito and their relatives.

The legendary name of the barangay was GINASAG-UBAN. The story was happened before according to the ancients folks,that in this barangay there was a spring well that overflows, where all the folks of this barangay... and the neighboring barangays depends their water supply during summer days. One day when the people were bathing in that well,a stranger passed by and asked them why there were many crowding around the well. One of them answered that this is the only well nga amon ginasag-uban during summer time. Then the stranger misinterpret it to NASUGBAN. From that time on the place was called NASUGBAN, as misinterpretation of Ginasag-uban.

The barangay was 5 kilometers away from the poblacion with an area of 125.80 has.,a triangular in shape, with a barangay road of 2.0 kilometers. The patron saint is Saint Vincent Ferrer and the feast day is being celebrated every last Saturday of April.
