Fair use rationale for Image:Wisconsin death trip.jpg

Image:Wisconsin death trip.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sales Figures

I removed the part which gave sales figures of three million. The source provided clearly stated that the band had sold three million records since releasing Wisconsin Death Trip, not that WDT itself had sold three million copies. My guess is that the sales figure for WDT would be closer to one million, but until someone finds a source we won't know. 80.45.152.173 (talk) 21:07, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discography

I added the group's discography to the page, but only included their studio recorded albums. This will ensure that readers will easily be able to access this information and it will potentially help them understand how this album influenced their future albums. I decided to put this information in a list format, rather than use the grid format found on the actual discography article in order to keep page aesthetics. Structure

I rearranged the structure of this page, starting with the Reception section. I added two sub-headings to differentiate between the initial reaction and retrospect. My hopes are that more people will come and edit this page, but instead of just adding more information I want to prompt them to create proper sub-headings so future editors will know what kind of specific information to find. This will also help people looking for information on the album find the information they are looking for in a more time efficient way. Ps.slime (talk) 16:03, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Title Significance

I tracked down an interview with Wayne Static explaining the inspiration for the album's title, and added a direct quote to the article, adding a page link to the Wikipedia article on Wisconsin Death Trip (book). I originally found a quote that I felt more clearly articulated Wayne Static's feelings about the book that led to the naming of their first album, however the source appeared to be a potentially abandoned low-budget site with little information on what sources they used, so in the end I went with a different quote concerning the album title from a more reputable source. However, I still don't feel this adequately captures why the title was chosen. If anyone can find a better quote to weave into that section, I think it would greatly improve the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kayla Borg (talkcontribs) 20:02, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
