Akwasi Fobi-Edusei (sometimes listed as Akwasi Fobe-Edusei or simply Akwasi Edusei, born 12 September 1986 in London) is an English association football player currently playing for Burgess Hill Town in the Isthmian League Division One South.
He began his career with Gillingham, where he made 21 appearances in The Football League.[1] In 2005 he then went on to score the winning goal against Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Youth Cup 4th round.[citation needed] In 2006 it was reported on Sky Sports News that his performances had alerted both Millwall and Bristol City who were both weighing up offers for the young winger.[citation needed] He is well known for his lightning pace and strong left foot.[citation needed] It was alleged[citation needed] in 2006 that he was called up to the Ghana under-19 national side where both of his parents are from but due to injury had to pull out. He has also played on loan for Welling United[2] and Farnborough.[3]
