Ashridge Park F.C. is an amateur football club which play at Cantley Park in Wokingham.[1] The club was founded in 1991 and currently has 21 junior teams. The club has achieved The FA Charter Standard Club Award. The current chairman of the club is Ian Blackham.[2]
History
1991
The club was established.
1994
First Ashridge Park Summer Tournament held at St. Crispin's School.
1995
The Club went on a number of tours as well, the first was a trip to Germany playing on some sort of chalk pitches. Ashridge represented Wokingham vs. our twin town Erfstadt.
In future years there were trips to Bournemouth for some tournaments, and we also represented Wokingham in a Twinning Tournament held in France, in which we won all of our games and the Trophy is held at the Town Hall on permanent Show.
1997
New Chairman and Secretary appointed as Ian McKenzie and Rosie Ramsay join the club.
1999
Ashridge Adult section formed. The early days It was Sunday afternoons in the Bracknell Boys League, for the under 10’s and above, with the Adults as now playing in the Bracknell Sunday Men’s League.
2002
Ashridge Soccer School introduced for under 6s, 200 members spanning 11 age groups from under 6 up to Adult.
2004
New Chairman and Vice appointed, Steve Jones and Ian Blackham.
2007
FA Charter Status Achieved, Neil Coupe appointed club secretary.
2009
Youth to Adult, Development side formed.
2010
First Ashridge Girls teams formed.
2011
20 Year Anniversary, 300 club members spanning 25 teams within the community. 20 junior teams, 2 girls teams and 3 adult sides.
