Michael F. Koehler
Michael F. Koehler is the Chief Executive Officer of Teradata since 2007.[1]

Education
Koehler graduated from the University of Delaware’s College of Business and Economics in 1975[2] with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.[3]
Career
Koehler started his career with NCR Corporation in 1975. Prior to 2000, he was the vice president of NCR’s Americas Retail division and vice president of NCR’s Worldwide Retail Industry Marketing group. From 2000 to 2003, he was vice president of Teradata division of NCR’s global field operations. In 2003, he became senior vice president of the Teradata division of NCR.[4]
Spinoff from NCR
Koehler became president and CEO of Teradata after its 2007 spin off from NCR. This is Koehler’s first CEO position.[5] Teradata saw a 10% increase in revenue in the first year after the spin off from NCR.[6] By 2010, Teradata’s revenue had gone from $1.5 billion under NCR to $1.9 billion as a standalone company with Koehler as CEO. Teradata hired 2,500 more employees between the spin off in 2007 and April 2011.[7] Koehler made the following statement about the spin off: “The spinoff will give us complete control over how we invest and allow us to pursue our goals more effectively.”[8]
