Dine Art Piece Gave Name to Musical "Hair"
On May 11, 2008, co-author of the 1960's musical "Hair" James Rado was interviewed on Sirius Radio / Best of Broadway, and claimed that the reason there is no song "Hair" in the musical is because the title of the show came very late in the writing process. He further claimed that the title comes from his seeing an art piece with the same name by Jim Dine. If anyone has a catalog, this would be useful for second-confirmation.
