75 Rockefeller Plaza

'75 Rockefeller Plaza, also known as the Esso Building and "Time Warner Building, is a skyscaper in New York City, formerly part of Rockefeller Center. It was completed in 1947 in early Modernist style. It was originally the Esso building, built for Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company (Esso). The building originally contained Schraff's restaurant, the city's largest at 1200 seats. At completion it was the tallest completely air-conditioned building in New York City, and the first one in Rockefeller Center. After Time-Life moved to the new Time-Life Building in the Rockefeller Center Extension, the building has been owned and occupied by the Time Warner publishing company.[1]
