Argentine David Nalbandian, like and Brzezicki, won both the singles and the doubles titles (partnering Peruvian Luis Horna), in 2001

The Challenger ATP de Salinas Diario Expreso is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is currently part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour. It is held annually in Salinas, Ecuador, since 1996.
