Pat Graham is an American photographer specializing in indie-punk bands, with whom he often tours.
Graham began shooting in high school in Milwaukee, WI, but soon relocated to Washington DC where he worked extensively in and around the local and national music scenes for over 10 years.
His photos have been featured on the album covers of such bands as Bikini Kill, Modest Mouse, The Make-Up, Ida, Bluetip, The Rondelles, The Delta 72, and hollAnd.
His work has also appeared in such publications as Alternative Press, Artforum, Spin, Thrasher, Washington City Paper, Washington Post, CMJ, Revolver, Ray Gun, NME, Melody Maker, Spex, Chicago Reader, Punk Planet, Rolling Stone, Time Out, Guitar World, Dazed & Confused, Vice, and Tokion.[1][2]
He is currently based out of London, England, where he runs his own non-profit gallery called 96 Gillespie, co-founded with his wife Melanie Standage. His debut photobook called Silent Pictures is due for publication in 2007, featuring a foreword by Ian Mackaye and an afterword by Cynthia Connolly.
