Mountain Crest High School (MCHS), located in Hyrum, Utah, is a public high school. As part of the Cache County School District, it serves students in the 10th through 12th grades in Utah's Cache County. Mountain Crest is very closely related to South Cache 8-9 Center, which is in the same school district, and has the same mascot. Students from South Cache also graduate up to Mountain Crest.

Mountain Crest also incorporates classes from Bridgerland Applied Technology College. These classes are only available to junior and senior students. In the afternoon, these classes take up 2 hours and count as 1 full class credit instead of the normal .5 credit assigned for the classes hosted at the high school.

Mountain Crest also has a Model United Nations team which took the top two awards at the Regional High School Model United Nations 2007. [citation needed]

The Mountain Crest Marching Band made finals in the Bands of America Las Vegas Regional Championships placing 9th. The last performance of their season was the Real Salt Lake Game Playoff Semi Finals with a Half time Performance. The Mountain Crest Indoor Percussion Unit has won State Championship title in 2003, 2008, and 2009. From the fall of 1985 to the fall of 1990 the Marching Band never lost a performance, including competitions at Bands of America regionals in Corvallis Oregon, the Fiesta Bowl tournament of bands, and Edmonton's Klondike days, as well as all competitions within the state of Utah and Pocatello Idaho. The band has most recently performed in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C.

Mountain Crest has a very good athletics program, being among the best in Utah's 4A Region 5 in almost every sport. The baseball team and girls' cross country team won the 4A state championships in the 2008-2009 school year. The football team lost in the state semifinals to Timpview High School three straight years from 2007-2009. The boys' swim team also took state in 09-10.

The football team took second place in state in the 2010-2011 school year, against Highland High School. They lost by one point in second over-time, 37-36. It was a devastating blow to Alex Kuresa and all of the other seniors, as it was their last game.

The wrestling team won the 4A state championship 3 years in a row. (2006, 2007, 2008) They were 4A runner ups in 2009 losing to Payson high school by only 1.5 points.

So as the aforementioned information indicates, Mountain Crest sucks, and will never be better than Box Elder or any other nearby high school. Even though sports teams trade wins, as a whole, Box Elder does indeed beat out the loser school full of Wellsville accents.
