Talk:Redguard
Humans?
Are Redguards really humans? I mean, from what I read, only Nords, Cyrodiil and Bretons originally come from Atmora and are hence considered humans. Redguards originiating from Yokuda are a completely different type, different from both Mer and humans. --Koveras 15:12, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
The Redguards are men same as the Nords and Cyrodiils, there are references to 'men' in Akavir who are now extinct at the hands of the Tsaesci. So it's a safe bet that the Ra Gada are just as human as the Nedics. They are certainly far more human than the Bretons who are of mixed Nedic and Aldmeri ancestry. Only 2 groups are recognised as being descended from the 'Ehlnofey' race, the modern meri races and the modern mannish races, the reference to the crowns not being human is probably meant to mean they have no Nedic blood in them. Many times in the games and lore Redguards are called men, never elf or mer. The category should really be changed. Redguards are men, and Khajiit are mer, or of meri descent, just as much as the Orcs. Seek100 23:57, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, technically none of the races are humans, they're Cyro-Nordic. Still, Redguards are considered one of the mannish races despite not being descended from the Nedics as the others are. RebornSentinal 21:07, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
