The Mahindra Thar is a subcompact four-wheel drive sport utility vehicle (SUV) and an off-road vehicle manufactured by Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. The vehicle was launched in the Indian market on October the 4th, 2010[1] to fill the void left by it's predecessor the MM540. The Thar has been voted one of the top 10 SUVs available in the Indian market [2]. Three variants-DI 2WD, DI 4WD and CRDe are available with a price range of Rs 5,49,000-6,98,000.
