Stor-Stockholm, litteraly Greater Stockholm, is a metropolitan region surrounding Stockholm. It is used mainly for stastistical measures. The population is 1,695,946 (2004) on an area of 3,472 km&sup2, which givs a density of 488.5/km&sup2
