The Staffordshire flag is the flag of the county of Staffordshire. It is used by Staffordshire County Council.
Use
The flag of Staffordshire has not yet been registered with the Flag Institute,[1] however, the flag has been flown alongside the Union Flag above the Department for Communities and Local Government.[2] The flag was also adopted by the crew of the RFA Wave Ruler in 2010, as its captain is from Stafford.[3] Many public buildings in Staffordshire now fly the flag.[4]
Flag design
On the flag is the Stafford Knot on a red chevron. This is on a gold background, with a gold lion on a blue backgound above. [1]
